Truckasauras New album.
The new album is out for sale, and Necodo has a flash player available so that you can listen to a sample of every single song. I would've normally have included that flash player in the post, but Jason, for some reason, doesn't allow more than 400 words? (*HINT*)
For those who never heard of Truckasauras, its as if your old NES turned into a boombox; there is even sounds from CONTRA!

An early release of Weezer's "Red" album
Yes, it is coming soon, actually three weeks earlier than expected (June 3rd). I would like to thank the blog "Consequence of Sound," for being on top of this development. If it sounds anything like "Make Believe," then I will demand that Weezer goes back into the recording studio and start over from scratch.

New Cure single: the only one
After listening to it a couple times I am very encouraged that Robert Smith seems to be bringing back a more pop-ish sound that defined their move into the mainstream during the 80s. This is the type of song that has been lacking in their last two albums, which were unfortunately greeted with a lukewarm reception.

Prince, Rage Against The Machine to headline Bumbershoot?
What an odd combo, but certainly a great one. If this is the indication of the rest of the band lineup then it will probably be the most remembered Bumbershoot EVER. Now, of course, this is still just a rumor, so there is a possibility that it will not happen: the billboard has a way of disappointing music fans. However, I am also intrigued by another comeback band, Stone Temple Pilots.

Gnarls Barkley album release
I have never been a fan of Gnarls Barkley, but their new album is free. Yes, the trend continues and I'll download it. This time, however, the whole album is a single thirty minute song that is played backward. Hence the title "elpuoC ddO ehT. (translated: The odd couple)."

SUB-POP turns 20!
This July 12th and 13th thee will be a concert at Marymoor Park to celebrate the record company that started the whole grunge movement and put Seattle on the rock map. Some of the best signed bands from past and present will be there. Too bad they don't have the guts to dig up Kurt's body and have a Nirvana revival band.

The real meaning to Radiohead's "Karma Police."
I really don't seem to possess the ability to recognize tongue-in-cheek humor, but this article makes the claim that one of Radiohead's most famous songs is based on an alligator hunter.

MTV tries to fool music lovers
What could be better than the video game "Rock Band," then a game with a similar format that allows you to be a prick of an agent? Huh, huh?!?! Of course, it is a hoax. I mean it comes with 2 "digital" pens, a phone, and a desk. Seriously, why would someone try to escape from their office job by playing a video game that simulates office work?

Lollapalooz lineup announced
Its almost summer and, of course, Lollapalooza is just a few months away. The lineup has been prematurely announced and it looks great. Some bands that I am excitied to watch:
Radiohead
Rage Against the Machine
Nine Inch Nails
The National
Wilco
What is also interesting is that Perry Farrell intends for the bands to collaborate on new material, and then have it sold on i-tunes.

Scott Weiland Leave Velvet Revoler.
Thank god, I personally thought that the band was a waste of Weiland's talent. After his solo album I thought that he would supply an endless stream of great lyrics and vocals. Instead, he joined a band with an overinflated ego and lacking very little talent.
The best part to the article is that he recommends to Slash Sebastian Bach to replace him. It would be a good fit: the missing piece to a band full of has-beens.
